Full house, they have closed the doors and sent folks away. NH comes out hitting and playing very aggressive. RFA not really able to get much offense working. Spartans take 1-0 lead at 3:20 of the period on a shot from Rich Steele. Andy Kelleher had the assist. Spartans were -0 on the power play, while the Black Knights had only one opportunity with the extra man. RFA has really not tested Rich. Meanwhile, RFA has done a good job giving Metzger a clean view of the puck. The only time he had a big crowd in front the Spartans scored.
No way to hear the PA in this building. Rich had 9 saves in the period. I will try and find out how many Metzger had and will update later.
