The Morning After

Tis a week before Christmas and no one in 3-2-E is breaking free. Tuesday, all eight 3-2-E teams had league games and the next morning you look at the standings and find five teams with a .500 record or better and no clear top team emerging.

In the big game of the night, New Hartford and Whitesboro tied at 2-2. Can’t comment on the overtime goal waved off, can tell you that these ties will make things quite interesting by the end of next month. The Spartans have ties in their last two games, good enough to keep them on top of the league. Whitesboro could ease past New Hartford Thursday night when they host Hamilton. But, it won’t be easy. The Emerald Knights also tied New Hartford before blowing Proctor out at Starr Rink Tuesday night.

Westmoreland came up one goal short in the rally against Cazenovia. The Bulldogs go to Rome Friday night. The Black Knights need the win so they don’t fall too far off the pace for first place. Westmo will be looking for their first league win Saturday when they go to the Aud to play Proctor.
