More Games Called Off As Time Runs Out

As the snow falls so does the hockey schedule. Here’s what the weather has done to the Friday schedule. The RFA – Whitesboro game has been postponed and they will go at it Saturday night, 7:00PM at the Whitestown Rec. Center.

The other big match up between Cazenova and New Hartford is also the victim of the weather. The Friday night game between the Lakers and the Spartans in Morrisville has been postponed and the two schools are, as of early Friday morning, working out a make good date. The educated guess says it has to be Sunday or Monday afternoon. The Section III hockey seeding meeting is Monday night. New Hartford has a date with Clinton at the Arena Saturday night.

The possibilities for these two match ups have been examined in the other posts on this blog.

Also of note, Westmoreland’s game against Hamilton for Friday night, also at Morrisville, has been rescheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm. Westmoreland’s Saturday finale against Thousand Islands has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 6:30PM at the Whitestown Rec. Center.

The Section III Division II East isn’t the only place where bad weather, the Division II West is in the same toboggan. Take the case of Ontario Bay. The Pulaski based team is two points out of a playoff spot with two games in hand over Cortland-Homer. The Storm has to go to Meachem Rink (one of the coldest places on earth) tonight. They then host CBA Saturday afternoon and would have to go to Skaneateles Sunday, if needed. All that is provided they can dig out of Pulaski.

Tune into Sports Express Friday night for the latest on the schedule changes.
